The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Alberto Lopez made subsequent visit to complete annual inspection. LPA met with Home Supervisor Charlene A Ergina and discussed the purpose of the visit. Administrator authorized Home Supervisor to sign report via phone. Initial visit was made on 08/27/2024 and LPA completed 11 of the 12 domains of the CARE tool.

During today's visit LPA conducted the Physical Plant domain inspection and the following was observed.

The facility has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, and a detached garage. PPE supplies are readily available. The facility is well maintained with no items obstructing the passageways. LPA observed Coronavirus (COVID-19) signage throughout the facility to promote hand washing hygiene. The facility has at least 30 days of PPE supplies in storage. Food supplies for 2 day perishable and a week of non-perishable are also observed. Knives are locked in the kitchen cabinet and cleaning solutions/disinfectants are stored in a locked closet. The hot water temperature was measured within the required range of 105.2 to 112.8 degrees Fahrenheit. Smoke and carbon monoxide combo detectors are located in each client room and throughout the house. The fire extinguishers were last inspected on 01/25/2024. Medications are centrally stored and locked in the cabinet. Staff are cleaning and disinfecting high touched surfaces throughout the day.
