The inspector’s account

During interviews with the clients, eleven (11) out of twelve (12) did not corroborate the allegation. One client interviewed stated that the intercom system is at a good volume and that it is very clear as well. Another client interviewed stated that the intercom system is at an appropriate volume and they did not think that it was too loud or had any problems with it. During interviews with the staff, none of them corroborated the allegation. S4 stated that they do not yell at clients over the intercom system whenever addressing them. Another staff interviewed stated that they keep the volume level at level "one (1)" so as to not cause any distress to the clients. During the tour of the facility, LPA determined that the intercom system's volume is at an appropriate level and is not too loud.

Based on statements and interviews conducted with staff, clients, review of client files and facility file records, there was not enough supportive evidence to concur with the reported allegations. Although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are UNSUBSTANTIATED .

Exit interview held, and a copy of this report will be emailed to the administrator.
