The inspector’s account

LPA Spaeth conducted an unannounced visit and was greeted by caregiver. LPA observed caregiver was wearing a mask. LPA's temperature was taken, COVID questions were asked by caregiver, and LPA observed the sign in station which contained hand sanitizer, sign in sheet and thermometer. The Administrator arrived 7:45 am and greeted LPA. Administrator confirmed there are three residents at the facility.

LPA and Administrator began tour at 7:50 am until 8:10 am. LPA observed the COVID signs on the door. Upon entering, staff office is located at the entrance. Administrator opened a locked closet and LPA observed the medications, emergency food supply, first aid kit, and knives were locked in the closet. LPA observed the family room, kitchen and dining room are combined. LPA observed comfortable seating in the family room. The kitchen contained wash your hands sign, hand soap and a trash can. LPA observed a seven day supply of canned goods and a two day supply of fresh fruits and vegetables. LPA observed another locked closet in the family room area which contained cleaning supplies and first aid kit. The water temperature was recorded to be 104.0 F at 8:00 am.

LPA observed a hallway pantry which contained a 90 day supply of PPE. LPA observed the resident rooms contained bed, linens, lamp, closet, chest of drawers and night stand. The bathrooms were clean and contained wash your hands sign, paper towels, hand soap, and a trash can.

Upon exiting to the backyard, LPA observed comfortable seating and the side gate was not locked.

There are no deficiencies to report at this time. Exit interview conducted, and a copy of the signed report was given to the Administrator.
