The inspector’s account

At 9:15 a.m Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Joscelyn Martinez conducted an unannounced annual inspection. Upon arrival LPA met with administrators Margie Rhyne and Michael Stephens. The purpose of the visit was explained.

At 9:20 a.m LPA conducted a tour of the physical plant. Upon arrival LPA’s temperature was taken and was asked to sign in. Covid infection control signage are located through out the facility. The main house in the front consists, of a kitchen area, two (2) bathrooms, and two large activity area. The water was measured at 118.2 degrees F. At 9:35 a.m the fire alarm and carbon monoxide alarm were tested and were functional. Fire extinguisher has a service date of 04/15/22. Bathrooms were toured and LPA observed the necessary toiletries. There are hand sanitizing stations throughout the facility. Staff and clients were observed wearing masks. Facility maintains a temperature of 78 degrees F. The facility has several structures that consists of office areas and storage areas. The garage was toured, and LPA observed sufficient PPE for more than 30 days. Chemicals are stored inside the garage area. During the time of the visit LPA observed two clients at the facility. Clients were outside gardening with staff. Facility has a covered patio area for clients. Facility offers in person and virtual classes. Activities consist of gardening, skill training classes, and arts and craft. Facility does not offer any meals at the moment. No current client is taking medication therefore facility is not in possession of any medication.

No deficiencies issued. Exit interview conducted. Report signed and delivered. Appeal rights delivered.
