The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mariana Agban conducted an Annual Required visit and inspection of the facility. LPA met with staff, and explained the reason for the visit. Administrator, Adedeji Fagbola was contacted and arrived shortly after. At approximately 09:45 am, with the assistance of staff, LPA took a tour of the physical plant. Required postings were observed in the entry area. LPA tested the fire alarm and carbon monoxide detectors and they were functional. The fire extinguisher is located in the kitchen. The purchase date is 06/20/2025 Kitchen: The kitchen appliances and fixtures were functional. LPA found a sufficient amount of perishable and non-perishable food at the facility; properly stored. Knives were stored in a locked drawer in the kitchen. Laundry: LPA observed the laundry area. Washer and Dryer were in good repairs. Laundry cabinets were locked and thus laundry toxins are inaccessible to the clients. Bedrooms: There were three (3) bedrooms designated for clients' use. Two (2) bedrooms are designated for private use, and one (1) bedroom is shared. LPA observed Room#4 to be an office room for the Administrator. All three bedrooms, in use by clients, were properly furnished with appropriate beddings and linens with sufficient lighting. Bathrooms: There are two (2) bathrooms designated for client' use. Both bathrooms were properly supplied and had functional fixtures. Hot water temperature was measured from the bathroom sink at 106.3 and 107.1 degrees Fahrenheit. No cleaning supplies or hazardous items were present in each bathroom during the inspection. Common Areas : These included the living room and dining area. The common areas were properly furnished. There is a fireplace that is properly screened. The fireplace is non-functional. The dining room table is large enough to sit the capacity of the facility. Seating such as couches where in good repair and sit the capacity of the facility. Properly labeled medications were locked in one of the dining area cabinets.
