The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mariana Agban conducted an Annual Required visit and inspection of the facility. LPA met with Administrator Designee Gemma Fujimoto and explained the reason for the visit. Administrator Anna Fabergas had arrived shortly after. At approximately 10:45 a.m., with the assistance of the Administrator Designee, LPA took a tour of the physical plant. Required postings were observed in the entry area. The smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and they were functioning properly.

Kitchen: The kitchen appliances and fixtures were functional. LPA found a sufficient amount of perishable and non-perishable food at the facility, properly stored. Knives were stored in a locked drawer in the kitchen. Properly labeled medications were locked in one of the kitchen cabinets. LPA observed a fully stocked first aid kit in the kitchen hung against the wall next to the fire extinguisher. The fire extinguisher is fully charged with a service date of April 23, 2025.

Common Areas: This includes the living room and dining areas were appropriately furnished, and lighting was adequate. The living room has a television and comfortable furniture. The auditory alarms on all exit doors were on and functional at the time of the visit. There was an office/workstation area where residents' and staff files are kept locked.

Bedrooms: The facility has 7 bedrooms. Six (6) bedrooms are designated for residents' use, and one (1) bedroom is designated for staff. Currently, Room 3 is vacant. All bedrooms were clean, properly furnished, and had sufficient lighting. Residents have enough personal hygiene products provided by the licensee. LPA observed enough clean linen available in the cabinets.
