The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Valeria Conway arrived at the facility unannounced to conduct a required annual visit at 10:15 A.M. LPA met with administrators Andrew Akhparian and Diana Gevorgyan. This home is vendored by North Los Angeles Regional Center as a level 2 home. Entrance interview conducted.

Beginning at 11:05 A.M. the LPA, along with administrators toured the physical plant areas inside and outside to ensure there are no health and safety hazards and that facility is in compliance with Title 22 Regulations.

Fire extinguishers are fully charged and recently serviced 06/30/2024. Between 11:25 A.M. and 12:02 P.M. Carbon Monoxide detector and smoke detectors were tested, and all were functional at the time of the visit. No fire clearance concerns were observed. The facility does handle cash resources for some of the clients. Surety Bond is current.

COMMON AREAS : This includes the living room and dining room areas. LPA observed common areas to be clean and properly furnished at the time of the visit. The facility maintained a comfortable temperature. Facility provides sufficient space to accommodate both indoor and outdoor activities. LPA observed a working phone available for clients use whenever needed. LPA observed emergency backpacks and food located between the shared bathroom and two bedrooms.

BATHROOMS : There is a shared bathroom for client use. Restroom was observed to be equipped with slip resistant surfaces and contain slip resistant mats. At 11:10 A.M. the water temperature was measured and measured within the required range.

BEDROOMS : There are four (4) private bedrooms. All resident rooms were observed to be furnished appropriately with clean linens, appropriate furnishings and sufficient lighting. LPA observed one bedroom with a door leading to the backyard.
