LPA also reviewed the department’s records and did not find incident reports regarding theft of C1s’ or any other clients’ belongings going missing around the period in question. In addition, LPA called and spoke to C1’s family at 11:19 AM
Allegation #1: Staff did not safeguard residents personal property
It was alleged that the client #1 (C1) did not receive their three (3) shirts that were washed at the facility. During interviews with staff, all staff stated they are not aware of staff or clients taking C1’s belongings. Other residents denied seeing or taking R1’s belongings. Family members revealed that C1 stays with their family over the weekend. C1 has lot of clothing and with C1’s permission, under the supervision of C1’s family, lot of C1’s personal belongings were donated. LPA reviewed R1’s inventory record and no information was available to verify any missing items.
Based on interviews and record review, there is not enough information to verify the allegation. Therefore, the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED at this time.
Allegation #2: Staff did not treat resident with respect
It was alleged that the facility staff told C1 to leave the facility since their unhappy. Interviews with staff revealed that they always treat their clients with dignity and respect. No staff witnessed such an incident, and all staff stated they all have respectful relationship with clients, and they treat all them with respect and dignity. During Licensing Visits, LPA observed staff assisting/treating clients with respectful manner.
Based on observations and interviews, there is no sufficient information to support the allegation. Therefore, this allegation is unsubstantiated at this time.
Interviews with clients revealed that they are happy and have not experienced disrespectful treatment from staff.
No immediate health or safety hazards were observed during today’s visit.
An exit interview was conducted, and a copy of this report was provided.
