The inspector’s account

On 12/03/2025 at 11:00 am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lorena Casillas arrived at the facility for an unannounced one (1) year Required visit. LPA was greeted and granted access by Administrator Amalia Sandoval. LPA informed Administrator of the purpose of the visit. Entrance interview conducted.

Infection Control and Emergency Preparedness Plan: LPA reviewed facility Infection Control Plan and Emergency Preparedness Plan to make sure facility is following protocols.

A tour of the physical plant was conducted with Administrator at 12:00 pm. The facility has four (4) bedrooms and two (2) bathrooms currently occupying four (4) clients. A fire clearance was approved for four (4) ambulatory clients for a total capacity of four (4). Two (2) clients were present, and two (2) clients were attending program.

Kitchen: LPA conducted tour in the kitchen around 12:10 pm observed there to be sufficient stock of two-day perishable and seven-day non-perishable foods. Frozen foods are properly wrapped and stored. Food storage and preparation areas are clean and inaccessible to pests. LPA observed all knives and sharp objects, medications, and chemicals being locked and inaccessible to clients in care.
