The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Glenn Trueman made an announced pre-licensing visit and was greeted by Administrator Maria Peralta.

Tour of the program was conducted and included the following:

Administrator's Office, Case Manager Office, Conference Room, Staff and Client lockers, Cabinet storing client files, locked closet for chemicals, office supplies in closet, Isolation Room, Training area classroom, lunch room and training area, kitchen with refrigerator and microwave, 1st aid kit, emergency supplies and copy machine.

Inspection included the following domains: Infection Control, Physical Plant/ Environmental Safety, Personnel Records- Staff Training, Client Records- Incident Reports, Client Rights/ Information, Food Service, Health Related Services and Disaster Preparedness.

Program will not be administering medication.

The program site is clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair. All passageways are free from obstruction. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions and poisons are inaccessible to clients and are locked. The restrooms were observed to be clean and water temperature measured between 105 F.- and 120 F.

The program maintains a comfortable temperature in each room/office.

The First Aid kit is kept and it is fully stocked with all required items including a current manual. Food is not prepared at this program and clients are able to bring their own food.

Each client has personal rights free from corporal or unusual punishment, infliction of pain, humiliation, ridicule, coercion, threats, mental abuse, or other actions of a punitive nature.

Component 3 was completed at today's visit.

Pre-Licensing is complete and this facility has no deficiencies
