COMPLAINT CONTROL NUMBER: 31-AS-20250916083845

Staff are not providing adequate food service to residents

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Michael Cava conducted a complaint visit to investigate the above allegation. LPA met with staff, Hilma Torres, and advised her of the complaint. It's being reported that the facility food service only consists of serving cold cuts, hot links, hot dogs, and other assorted frozen meats. There is no variety of fresh food being provided to the residents in care. Today's investigation consisted of a physical plant inspection/inspection of food supply, conducted between 11:50am to 12:30pm. LPA interviewed Staff 1 (S1) between 12:30pm and 1:00pm. Interviews with five (5) of five residents between 1:00pm to 2:00pm.

Interviews with the residents were inconsistent with the allegation, but per inspection of the facility food service, LPA observed a lack of fresh/perishable foods items that should be adequate for two (2) days. Based on this observation, the above allegation is Substantiated.
