The inspector’s account

On 12/13/2022 at 1:00pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Perry Scott conducted an annual required visit, with a primary focus on infection control measures. LPA was met by Morigan Coffee and the purpose of today’s visit was explained. The facility is licensed to serve three (3) ambulatory residents ages 18 - 59 years of age. The facilities annual fees are current.

As part of the inspection, my primary focus was on infection control. LPA observed the facility’s infection control practices: LPA observed a sanitizing station at the facility entrance. PPE supplies are readily available to staff and residents, and additional supplies are stored. Sufficient paper, cleaning, and disinfecting supplies were observed. The facility has the mandated COVID infection control posters.

LPA Scott toured the facility with Morigan Coffee. The residents were at their day program at the time of the visit. The home consists of three (3) bedrooms, two (2) bathrooms, living Room, kitchen, dining area, garage, and back yard. The water temperature was within title 22 guidelines. All rooms were checked, and mattresses and bedsprings are in good repair, adequate lighting, nightstand, chair, and closet space observed. LPA observed that there were sufficient toiletries, linens towels and bedding for clients. First Aid kit was fully stocked with manual. Fire extinguishers were charged, smoke/carbon monoxide detectors were operable.
