Facility Evaluation Report
On 1/14/26, at 12:05pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Perry Scott conducted an unannounced annual required visit to Taylor’s Residential Care. LPA met with Ana Ortega, Direct Support Professional, and the purpose of today’s visit was explained. The facility is licensed to serve six (6) developmentally disabled clients (age 18-59). Currently, the facility has (4) ambulatory clients. The clients are South Central Los Angeles Regional Center clients. None of the clients have Restricted Health Care Conditions and none utilizes postural supports or protective devices. The facility’s annual fees are current.
The facility is a single-story building located in a residential neighborhood. It consists of the following: four (4) client bedrooms, two (2) bathrooms, one (1) staff office, living room, dining area, kitchen, and an attached garage which houses (2) additional refrigerators, a washer and dryer, and an outdoor shaded area with patio and chairs.
At 12:15pm, LPA and staff toured the facility. There are no bodies of water or firearm/ammunition on the premises. All client rooms were checked. Beds and bedding were in good condition, adequate lighting provided, and adequate storage for client personal belongings was observed. Walls and floors were in good repair. Bed linens, comforters, and bath towels were adequately stocked at the time of visit. Bathrooms were found to be within Title 22 regulations. Toilets and water faucets worked properly. The shower was free of mold/mildew, there was adequate lighting, and sufficient toiletries were accessible to clients. The water temperature measured 106.9F. A comfortable temperature is maintained in the facility.
