The inspector’s account

On 1/08/26, at 9:30am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Perry Scott conducted an unannounced required visit to Our House Theatrical Living & Learning Center Adult Day Program. LPA met with Gisela Acosta, Program Director, and the purpose of today’s visit was explained. The facility is licensed to serve eighty (80) adults of which seventy-eight (78) may be non-ambulatory. The clients are South Central Los Angeles Regional Center clients. Currently, the facility has (56) clients. None of the clients have Restricted Health Care Conditions and none utilizes postural supports or protective devices. The facility’s annual fees are current.

The facility is a single-story structure located in a commercial building. The facility is one large building consisting of the following: Parking lot (drop off/pick up area), one (1) kitchen, one (1) large activity room, three (3) changing/isolation rooms, one (1) waiting room/office, three (3) consumer restrooms, two (2) staff restrooms, conference room and offices.

At 9:50am, LPA and staff toured the facility. There are no bodies of water or firearm/ammunition on the premises. All activity rooms, changing areas, offices, and restrooms were in good condition, adequate lighting was provided, and adequate storage for client personal belongings was observed. Walls and floors were in good repair. Bathrooms were found to be within Title 22 regulations. Toilets and water faucets worked properly. The water temperature measured 106.5F. A comfortable temperature was maintained at the Adult Day Program.
