Facility staff do not ensure residents are served food of good quality. It has been alleged that over the past few months, the quality of food at the facility has declined significantly. Resident interviews revealed that the food provided by this facility is of good quality. Interviewed residents indicated the food provided by this facility is appropriately cooked and is edible, well proportioned, and the food temperature is appropriate. Interviewed residents indicated the sandwiches are provided as ordered and desserts are provided in appropriate plating. Interviewed residents indicated they have not heard anyone complaining about the quality of food nor have any concerns pertaining to this matter. Staff interviews revealed that the food provided is of good quality. Interviewed staff indicated that the food is cooked appropriately, well proportioned, and the food temperature is appropriate. Staff interviewed revealed that sandwiches are made and provided to residents as ordered. Interviewed staff indicated that desserts are plated appropriately. Interviewed staff indicated they have not heard anyone complaining about the quality of food. Interviews do not corroborate this allegation.

Facility staff do not provide adequate food service to residents in care. It has been alleged that it takes an excessive amount of time for staff to deliver food to the residents, resulting in meals often being lukewarm by the time they arrive. Resident interviews revealed that staff do not take excessive amount of time for staff to deliver food to residents. Interviewed residents indicated that the food temperature is appropriate. Interviewed residents indicated they have not heard anyone complaining nor have any concerns pertaining to this matter. Staff interviews revealed that food is delivered to residents in a timely manner. Interviewed staff indicated that the food temperature is appropriate. Interviewed staff indicated they have not heard anyone complaining about this matter. Interviews do not corroborate this allegation.

Facility staff are unable to communicate effectively with the residents. It has been alleged that most of the staff do not speak or understand English, which creates communication difficulties for residents. Resident interviews revealed that staff are able to communicate with residents. Interviewed residents indicated they have not heard anyone complaining nor have any concerns pertaining to this matter. Staff interviews revealed that staff are able to effectively communicate with residents. Interviewed staff indicated they have not received any complaints regarding this matter. Interviews do not corroborate this allegation.

Although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are UNSUBSTANTIATED.
