The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Alberto Lopez conducted an unannounced Required-1 year visit. LPA met with Administrator John Nguyen. LPA explained the purpose of today's visit. There are on average (22) clients on-site. (54) are community based. This program provides services for developmentally disabled clients (ages 18-59) from various Regional Centers. Currently, there are (48) clients from Eastern Los Angeles Regional Center, (4) clients from Frank D. Lanterman Regional Center and (7) from San Gabriel Pomona Regional Center. Not all clients are at facility at once.

This facility consists of: One sensory motor room (detached building), (6) bathrooms, (5) activity rooms, (2) designated rooms for clients experiencing symptoms (waiting for pick up) and administrative offices.

There are no obstructions to the walkways nor any bodies of water.

· The day program does utilize sharp scissors but are locked and inaccessible to clients

· Hand sanitizers are readily available around the facility and adequate PPE supplies were observed.

· Staff files have the required documents.

· LPA observed disinfectants, cleaning solutions, locked and inaccessible to clients.

· The hot water temperature measured between 110.0 -114.6 degrees F, which is within range. One water dispenser in hallway that dispenses water that is hot should be in staff area only.

· The fire extinguishers were inspected and fully charged.
