On 04/24/2025 at 10:30 AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Julie Florio arrived unannounced at facility to conduct an annual required visit. LPA observed a chain link fenced vacant lot with only the foundation remaining. LPA spoke with Licensee, Be April Importante who states they live out of the area and are unable to come to the facility site today.

The licensed facility was destroyed by fire due to the actions of a client on January 26, 2017. At this time no structure exists at this facility location. LPA spoke with licensee to confirm the plan to rebuild the facility. Licensee will notify the Department when construction begins so that LPA can request a new fire clearance and conduct an inspection of the buildings and grounds prior to the repopulation of residents. Licensee agrees to notify the Department should the Licensee decide to change locations or not to reopen. Licensee states they bought the adjacent lot to accommodate the new facility, but is having a having a tough time with architects and the engineer. Licensee states they still plan to rebuild and reopen. LPA confirmed contact information for Licensee.
