The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) B. Miranda conducted an unannounced visit today for the facility’s annual inspection. LPA introduced themselves and was allowed entrance into the facility. LPA met with Jose Machado.

Facility is licensed for 50 clients and has a current census of 30. Water temperature was checked in the men’s bathroom and read at 106.5 degrees Fahrenheit. Fire Extinguisher was serviced April 24, 2026 and is within the safety regulation period. Carbon monoxide detector was tested and in working order.

Jose Machado RCFE Administrator's Certification expires January 4, 2027. Staff files were reviewed, are complete, and current. Resident files were reviewed. Facility provided a log for disaster drills that are conducted quarterly. First aid kit on site. Toxins and cleaning supplies are locked and inaccessible. Medication is not kept at the facility.

LPA inspected the interior of the facility. During the inspection most of the clients were out in the community. Clients bring their own lunches.

There were no citation issued during today's inspection per California Code of Regulations, Title 22.

LPA is requesting the following documents: LIC 500 Personnel Report, LIC 308 Designation of Administrative Responsibility, LIC 610-E the Emergency Disaster Plan and copy of current fire system clearance to update the facility file. Listed documents shall be sent to Licensing August 14, 2026.

Exit interview conducted and a copy of this report LIC809 was provided to Administrator Jose Machado.
