Resident sustained a severe pressure injury due to staff neglect
Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Shawna Doucette conducted a visit to commence a complaint investigation. LPA identified herself and discussed the purpose of the visit and the elements of the allegations and deliver findings with Administrator, Perla Pena.
LPA conducted interviews and reviewed records.
Based on medical records/Hospice records and interviews resident did not sustain a severe pressure injury due to staff neglect. Resident pressure injury was at a stage 2 as of 6/6/24 per Hospice interviews and records and there are no concerns of neglect.
This Department has investigated the complaint alleging, Resident sustained a severe pressure injury due to staff neglect. We have found that the complaint was UNFOUNDED, which means the the allegation could not have happened, and/or is without reasonable basis, therefore we have dismissed the complaint.
A exit interview was conducted with Administrator Perla Pena and a copy of this report was provided.
