The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) J. Duarte arrived at the facility unannounced to conduct an Annual Inspection. LPA was greeted and granted entry by staff. Saff contacted Administrator Joye Mackey and she arrived shortly after. Staff reported that the facility has six residents, five residents were at day program, and one resident was home.

The facility was observed to be at a temperature of 70 degrees F, clean with no passageway obstructions The living room has sufficient seating for residents. The kitchen was toured and LPA observed a two-day supply of perishable and seven-day supply of non-perishable food. The facility stores sharps in a locked kitchen cabinet. Medication along with the first aid kit are locked in a kitchen cabinet as well. A fire extinguisher was observed in the kitchen, with a service date of 01/05/2026.

All bedrooms were toured and observed to have the required furniture and adequate lighting.The hot water temperature was tested and observed at 126 degrees F in the bathroom near the garage, 125 degrees F in the bathroom near the hallway, and 122 degrees F in the master bathroom.

The facility has a dryer and washer in the garage. Chemicals and detergent were observed locked in cabinet. The facility has a freezer in the garage with an additional food supply. Hygiene products and an overflow of chemical supplies are stored in the garage.

Outside of the facility was toured and observed to be free of debris. The facility has a back patio with seating available.
