The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) M Vega conducted an unannounced health and safety check. Present was one staff, Direct Support Professional 2 (DSP 2) - Keysha Stephens and 3 residents. DSP 2 notified Administrator (AD) - Joye Mackey and Administrator (AD) - Dodie Franklin of LPA arrival and Administrators arrived a short time later.

LPA toured the facility with DSP 2 to ensure the health and safety of the residents in care. LPA inspected the facility with staff including but not limited to the kitchen, resident bedrooms, resident bathroom, living and dining room and the backyard area. LPA reviewed resident files and obtained resident documents. Another staff 1 (S1) arrived a short while later.

LPA observed the facility to be free of odor, clean and in good repair. LPA observed that rooms inspected are equipped with the required furniture and there is sufficient lighting throughout the facility. Client 1 (C1) was clean and healthy at the time of this visit. Client 2 and Client 3 were not in facility at the time of inspection. Facility is free from mal odor and pathways are clear and free from obstructions.
