Facility Evaluation Report
Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) J. Duarte arrived unannounced to conduct an Annual inspection. Staff answered the door. Staff contacted House Manager Reyna Carbonell via telephone and she arrived shortly after. LPA explained reason for today's visit and toured the facility with the house manager.
The facility was observed to be clean and the temperature was set at 68 degrees F. Common areas were furnished well with adequate seating and lighting available. The kitchen was toured and it appeared clean and safe for food preparation. LPA observed a two-day supply of perishable and a seven-day supply of non-perishable food. The sharps were observed locked in a kitchen cabinet. Chemicals were stored in a locked cabinet under the kitchen sink. The medication was stored in a locked cabinet. A complete first Aid kit was observed in the kitchen.
LPA toured the resident bedrooms. The bedrooms had all required furnishings to include chair, dresser, and lighting. Beds were observed to have clean linen. The master bedroom hot water measured at 110 degrees F, the hallway restrooms hot water measured at 115 degrees F. Restrooms had grab bars and slip resistant mats in the showers.
The garage was toured and LPA observed a freezer and refrigerator with an additional supply of food. Additional chemicals were observed stored in a locked garage cabinet. The facility has a washer and dryer in the garage. Detergent to wash was stored in a locked cabinet in the garage. The backyard has a patio with seating available.
