Facility Evaluation Report
Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) J. Duarte arrived at the facility unannounced to conduct an Annual Inspection. LPA was granted entry by Support Staff (SS) Claudia Yvonne Ramirez. SS contacted Administrator (AD) Crystianna Navarro Robinson, who arrived shortly after.
LPA conducted a tour inside and outside of the facility with SS Yvonne. The facility was observed to be clean and at a temperature of 75 degrees F. Three residents were present during the tour and staff reported that one resident was at a day program.The common areas were furnished well with adequate seating and lighting available. The Kitchen was clean and safe for food preparation. The kitchen's hot water measured at 110.5 degrees F. The facility had a two-day supply of perishable and seven-day supply of non-perishable food. Sharps were stored in a locked cabinet underneath the stove. The medication and a First Aid Kit were observed stored in an upper cabinet to the right of the kitchen sink. Chemicals are stored in a locked cabinet underneath the kitchen sink. Medication and MARS were reviewed for two residents and medication logs were observed to be completed accordingly.
The facility has four resident rooms and one staff office. All rooms are single occupancy. The residents’ rooms were observed to have required furnishings. LPA observed clean linens on residents beds. The hot water in the restroom in the hallway to the right of the entrance measured at 111.1 degrees F, and the water in the restroom towards the back of the house measured at 109.6 degrees F.
The garage was toured. LPA observed a washer and a dryer. Staff stated that they do their own laundry. The detergent was observed to be locked in cabinet. Tools and gardening supplies are stored in a locked cabinet as well. A second refrigerator and a freezer were observed in the garage with an additional supply of food.
