The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Shawna Doucette arrived unannounced to conduct an Annual inspection. LPA explained reason for inspection and was granted entry. LPA met with Administrator Helen Houck.

LPA toured the facility. Facility observed to be clean, and at a comfortable temperature. Common areas were furnished well with adequate seating and lighting available. Kitchen toured, appeared clean and safe for food preparation. Food supply checked, LPA observed an adequate supply of food. Client rooms checked. LPA observed an adequate supply of linen. Facility was set at 75 F. Exterior tour conducted, all exits open and free of obstructions. Side gate was observed to be self-latching.

Fire extinguisher serviced on 05/14/2025. Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors observed operational during today’s inspection. Facility has a pull station fire alarm. Facility has sprinkler system. Last fire drill conducted 06/03/2025. All cleaning supplies are locked and secured in a cabinet in the garage.

Facility bathroom has skid mats and grab bars. Hot water measured at 111.1 degrees F.

LPA reviewed client records, medications and staff records. LPA conducted a pill count. LPA reviewed staff training.
