The inspector’s account

On 03/26/25, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) M. Yang arrived unannounced to conduct an annual visit. LPA introduce self, stated the purpose of the visit and requested to meet with the Administrator. LPA met staff (S1) Simarjeet Kaur. Licensee/ Administrator (L1) Tina Malhi was called and arrived shortly. Designee Lorena Malhi and Assistant Administrator Sharnpreet "Pree" Malhi later arrived during tour. Five residents were present during inspection.

The facility was observed to be at a comfortable temperature, clean, in good repair, and no passageway obstructions or fire hazards were observed inside or outside. Sharps observed locked in kitchen drawers. Fire extinguisher was observed with a purchased date of: 4/18/24. At approximately 10:25AM, LPA, L1, designee, and S1 observed food pantry by the front door locked.

Medications were observed locked under kitchen counter. MARs were reviewed and medications were checked. Chemicals were observed locked under kitchen sink. An adequate supply of perishable and non-perishable food was observed. Refrigerator temperature observed maintained at 30 degrees F and freezer temperature maintained at 0 degrees F.

Cleaning supplies were observed locked in laundry room. All bedrooms were observed to have the required furnishings and with adequate lightening. Extra linens were observed.

The bathrooms were toured and observed operational during inspection. Non-skid mat and grabbed bars were observed. Hot water temperature was tested at 119.3 degrees F in bathroom 1, range at 120 degrees F in bathroom 2, and at 117.1 and 116.3 degrees F in master bathroom.
