The inspector’s account

On 3/8/2024 at 12:20pm, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) L. Hall and T. Syess-Gibson conducted an unannounced annual 1-year required inspection. Administrator, Henry Magtibay, arrived at 12:35pm. and LPAs explained the purpose of the visit.

LPA toured the facility including but not limited to bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, common area, and back yard. The facility consists of five (5) bedrooms and two (2) bathrooms. Staff occupies one (1) bedroom and one (1) room is used as an office. All indoor passageways are kept free of obstruction. There are no bodies of water. A comfortable temperature for clients is maintained at 70 degrees Fahrenheit. LPA observed lighting in all rooms are adequate for the comfort and safety of the clients. Hot water temperature in the shared clients’ bathroom was measured at 101.8 degrees Fahrenheit. All toilets were in operating condition. Hand washing poster, paper towel, and soap observed at all hand washing stations. The supply of extra hygiene was available for residents.

Smoke detectors/carbon monoxide were in operating condition during visit. First aid kit was observed to be complete. Emergency disaster plan last updated 3/10/2023.

LPAs reviewed five (5) client files, all appraisal needs and services plan were outdated and none contained a consent for medical treatment form. LPAs reviewed three (3) staff files all was missing first-aid and CPR. LPAs also reviewed medication.
