Facility Evaluation Report
Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Valeria Conway arrived at the facility unannounced to conduct a required annual visit. Upon arrival, LPA met with Administrator Fabiana Farruggia and explained the reason for the visit. Three (3) clients were at the day program at the time of the visit. The facility is vendored by Tri-Counties Regional Center (TCRC) as a level 2 home. Entrance interview conducted.
LPA toured the physical plant areas inside and outside to ensure there are no health and safety hazards and the facility is in compliance with Title 22 Regulations. The following was observed.
KITCHEN: LPA inspected the kitchen/food service area at approximately 8:45 A.M. Knives, sharp objects and some cleaning supplies are stored inaccessible in a drawer on the center island in Kitchen. Kitchen appliances were observed to be in operable condition. The facility has a sufficient supply of perishable and non-perishable food properly stored at this time. Cleaning supplies were observed stored inaccessible underneath the sink. At 9:00 A.M. hot water measured 112.6 degrees Fahrenheit.
BEDROOMS: LPA observed four (4) bedrooms in total, (3) for residents use and (1) for staff. One (1) bedroom is designated as double occupancy; and two (2) bedrooms are designated as single occupancy. Residents’ bedrooms were furnished appropriately with clean linens, appropriate furnishings and sufficient lighting. The staff room was observed locked and inaccessible to clients in care.
