The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Brian Balisi arrived at the facility unannounced to conduct a required annual visit. Upon arrival, LPA met with Administrator Fabiana Farruggia and explained the reason for the visit. LPA toured the physical plant areas inside and outside to ensure there are no health and safety hazards and the facility is in compliance with Title 22 Regulations.

LPA inspected the kitchen/food service area at approx. 09:50 a.m. Knives, sharp objects and some cleaning supplies are stored inaccessible in a drawer on the center island in Kitchen. Kitchen appliances were observed to be in operable condition. The facility has a sufficient supply of perishable and non-perishable food properly stored at this time. Dining room furniture was observed to be in good condition. Medication cabinet located on center island was observed to be locked. Board games and other activities were observed in common areas and resident bedrooms. Cleaning supplies were observed stored inaccessible underneath the sink.

At the time of the visit, the common area furniture's were observed to be in good condition. The facility maintained a comfortable temperature of 72 degrees Fahrenheit. Smoke detector(s) and carbon monoxide detector were operational at the time of the visit. LPA observed fire extinguisher to be fully charged and purchased in May of 2025. The property has an enclosed patio area where emergency food and water supply are stored in the additional refrigerator and food storage. The LPA observed water tanks outside the enclosed patio area with additional water supply.

LPA observed four (4) bedrooms,(3) for resident use and (1) for staff. Resident bedrooms were furnished appropriately with clean linens, appropriate furnishings and sufficient lighting. The resident restrooms were clean and sanitary and in operating condition with grab bars and non-skid surfaces.
