The inspector’s account

Licens ing Program Analyst (LPA) Martha Arroyo conducted an unannounced required annual inspection today. Upon arrival, the LPA met with Residential Program Manager (RPM), Ash Earle and the reason for the visit was explained. Entrance interview conducted.

At 09:30 a.m., the LPA along with staff, toured the physical plant areas inside and outside to ensure there are no health and safety hazards and facility is in compliance with Title 22 Regulations. The following was observed:

Kitchen: The facility is equipped with two separate kitchens; one designated for staff use and the other designated for client use. Both kitchens were equipped with Fixtures and Appliances that appeared clean and functional. There was an adequate supply of perishable food to accommodate 15 clients for two days and nonperishable food to accommodate 15 clients for one week. The LPA observed knives and sharps in a locked cabinet at the time of the inspection. A bottle of dishwashing soap and dishwashing pods were observed under the kitchen sink unlocked and accessible. The RPM secured cleaning items during the inspection. An adequate amount of emergency food and water was observed during the inspection. At 10:04 a.m., the hot water temperature was measured in the kitchen sink, and it measured 115.7 degrees Fahrenheit.
