Facility Evaluation Report
Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Magda Malcore conducted an unannounced required annual inspection of the facility. LPA met with Vincent Pedroso, Administrator, and discussed the purpose of the visit. The facility is an Adult Residential Facility (ARF) with a license capacity of six (6) ambulatory clients. LPA conducted an overall inspection of the facility, which included, but was not limited to, the following:
Physical Plant/Environment: Indoor and outdoor passageways were kept free of obstruction. Facility has no swimming pools or similar bodies of water. The facility has sufficient indoor space and furniture for client activities. The facility was maintained at a temperature of 74 degrees Fahrenheit (F).The facility's has sufficient outdoor covered and enclosed space for client activities. The facility is equipped with carbon monoxide/smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, door signal system, emergency supplies, covered fireplace and telephone service. Client bedrooms were equipped with beds, bed linen, chairs, storage space and lighting. Client bathroom equipment were operating properly and the hot water measured 106 degrees Fahrenheit. The facility has 24 hour/7 days a week care staff. The facility has posted in a common area: Community Care poster, activities, facility license, and emergency telephone numbers.
Food Service: The kitchen and dining areas were maintained clean. The facility has sufficient non-perishable and perishable food for number of clients in care. Sharps, disinfectants and cleaning solutions were kept locked and stored away from food areas.
