Facility refused to accept resident back with COVID
On 12/17/2021, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jason Lund arrived at the facility unannounced to complete a complaint investigation regarding the above allegations. LPA Lund meet with Administrator Marie Arbios and explained the reason for the visit.
It was learned thorough facility reports and interviews that the facility sent resident (R1) to Memorial Medical Center (ER) on 12/14/2021. At the time of discharge 12/17/2021, the facility refused to accept R1 back into the facility.
As a result of this investigation, this LPA found the allegations to be SUBSTANTIATED - A finding that the complaint was Substantiated meant that the allegation was valid because the preponderance of the evidence standard had been met.
An exit interview was conducted with Administrator Marie Arbios. A copy of this report, LIC 9099-D, and appeal rights were provided.
