The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Maria (Mita) Partoza and Coryse Ngangmenyi conducted an unannounced annual required inspection and met with administrator (ADM) Abraham Longoria and stated the purpose of the visit.

The facility is licensed to serve ten (10) adults ages 18-59 years, all 6 maybe non-ambulatory. LPA observed 3 was in the living room 2 are attending the day program, 1 was in the kitchen, 1 was riding his bicycle and 1 was in the therapy.

LPA inspected the facility inside and outside, including common areas, resident rooms, kitchen, bathrooms, driveway, and outdoor spaces and storage areas. Outdoor areas were free of hazards; laundry appliances were functional, and cleaning supplies were secured and hallways were clear and well-lit .Indoor temperature was within acceptable range of 71°F.

The kitchen was sanitary and organized; knives were locked and not accessible to residents without supervision. Food supply met requirements (2 days perishable, 7 days non-perishable). Kitchen water temperature measured at 111.2°F. Medications are locked and inaccessible to residents. Facility has first aid kit that is properly stored and complete.
