The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Hanna Fuller made an unannounced visit to the facility to conduct the required annual inspection. LPA was greeted and granted entry by staff. LPA met with Administrator (AD) Luzviminda Brimbuela and discussed the purpose of the visit.

The facility consist of eight client bungalows, a medication room, a kitchen, dining room, a multipurpose room, a laundry room, and a garage. LPA observed all eight client bungalows which consisted of bedrooms, bathrooms, and a living room. The bedrooms have all the required components and furnishings. LPA observed extra linens in each bungalow to be stored in a cabinet by the bathrooms for client use. LPA inspected the client bathrooms in each bungalow and observed them to be clean. Bathrooms were equipped with toilet paper, paper towels and non slip mats in the shower. Hot water temperature measured between 108.7 and 116.9 degrees Fahrenheit. LPA observed the medication to be in a locked medication cart in the locked front room of the first bungalow making them inaccessible to clients in care. LPA observed the first aid kit to be in the medication room with all the required components. LPA observed the kitchen to be clean and free of vermin. A two day perishable and seven day non perishable food supply was observed. The appliances were found to be operational. The knives were located in a drawer in the locked kitchen making them inaccessible to clients. The activity room had activities such as games, videos, art supplies and karaoke for client enjoyment. LPA observed the three car garage to be converted into an outdoor communal activity space. The laundry room is attached to the last bungalow in the garage. The toxins and chemicals are locked in individual housekeeper cupboards and inaccessible to clients in care. LPA observed fire extinguishers charged and with a service date of November 4, 2025.
