The inspector’s account

On today's date Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) William Vanegas made an unannounced visit for the purposes of conducting an annual visit. Upon arrival LPA was greeted and granted entry into the facility. LPA explained the purpose of the visit and Administrator was notified via telephone. Administrator arrived shortly after and assisted LPA with the annual visit. LPA began a tour of the facility and observed the follwoing.

The facility is a one storied home with five bedrooms three of which are utilized for clients and care, one of which is utilized for an office, and another that is utilized for staff living quarters. The facility is equipped with two bathrooms one of which is used for clients in care and another that is used for staff and visitors. LPA observed the kitchen area to be clean and free of any mildew and debris. LPA observed kitchen area to have a microwave, a gas stove, and a refrigerator. All appeared to be in good repair, and tested operational. LPA observed for there to be a two day supply of perishable food and a seven day supply of non-perishable food a long with a sufficient amount of emergency water.

LPA observed all restrooms to be clean and free of any mildew and debris. LPA observed all water faucets and toilets to be operational, and for the restrooms to have all required furnishings such as grab bars, a shower chair, and slip resistant floor matts. Hot water temperature tested between 114.3 and 115.6 degrees Fahrenheit. LPA observed all client rooms to be clean and free of any debris and hazards. LPA observed rooms to be large enough to walk about freely, and have all required furnishings including a bed, clean linens in good repair; meaning no strains or tears, a reading lamp, a chest of drawers, a chair, and enough storage space to store personal belongings.
