The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rose Ruppert made an unannounced visit to the facility today to conduct an Annual Required Evaluation. LPA was greeted and granted entry by the receptionist . During today’s visit, LPA met with Mary Alice Garcia, Chief Operating Officer; Stacie Knepp, Program Administrator and BJ Rosary, Director of Operations.

The facility is a two story commercial building and recently increased capacity to 200 clients. The building is two units. Unit C has five classrooms, Unit B houses the two community vans and has three classrooms. The building fire clearance is approved for 200 ambulatory clients. The Adult Day Program (ADP) has a census of 133 clients.

During today’s visit, LPA toured the facility and inspected the physical plant. LPA tested hot water temperature in the male and female common restrooms. The hot water temperature measured between 111.2 and 112.2 degrees Fahrenheit. The commercial building had their last building sprinkler and fire inspection on May 25, 2025, by an outside party, and is conducted annually . LPA inspected the Automated External Fibrillator (AED) located in the rear of Unit C. All staff are CPR and AED trained. All fire extinguishers were charged and were serviced on March 29, 2025. The facility’s last fire drill was conducted on July 28, 2025. Visual cameras are located throughout the facility for security. Emergency supplies/backpacks and First Aid Kits are located in each of the eight classrooms. Each classroom also has an Emergency Manual. Medications are not dispensed clients. If clients have medications, they are self administered.
