The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) William Vanegas conducted an unannounced inspection for the purposes of completing an annual inspection. Upon arrival LPA Vanegas was greeted and granted entry by Administrator (AD) Marjan Arastoo, and LPA Vanegas explained the purpose of the inspection. LPA Vanegas began a tour of the facility accompanied by AD and observed the following.

This is a two storied facility with 40 bedrooms for client use, 38 bedrooms have a private bathroom, and two bedrooms have a common area shared bathroom. Each room accommodates two clients, and all observed bedrooms have required furnishings such as a bed, clean linens; meaning no strains or tears, a chair, and enough storage space to put personal belongings in. LPA Vanegas observed there to be a t.v room, dinning area, and kitchen on the first floor. Kitchen area appeared to be clean and sanitary, LPA Vanegas observed a 7 day supply of non-perishable food, and a two day supply of perishable food on hand, LPA Vanegas also observed a sufficient amount of emergency water on hand.

LPA Vanegas observed all fire extinguishers to be fully charged, and up to date. LPA Vanegas also observed smoke and carbon monoxide detector test log to be up to date, and detectors are documented to be operational. LPA Vanegas observed five client bathrooms to be clean and free of mildew and debris. LPA Vanegas observed water faucets, and toilets to be operational. Water tested between 101.4 and 105.2 degrees.

LPA Vanegas observed there to be an outdoor shaded sitting area, and observed clients socializing in shaded sitting areas, and t.v rooms.
