The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rose Ruppert made an unannounced visit to the facility today to conduct an Annual Required Evaluation. LPA was greeted and granted entry and met with Jean Camacho, Administrator, at 1pm.

The facility is a level 3i, five bedroom, one and a half bathroom, single story building with an approved fire clearance of six ambulatory only. The facility currently has a census of three clients in care.

During today’s visit, LPA toured the facility and tested hot water temperatures in two of two client bathrooms. Th e hot water temperatures measured between 119.6 to 120.0 degrees Fahrenheit. LPA tested auditory and smoke detection devices and all smoke detectors were operational . The fire extinguisher is charged and was serviced on June 11, 2025. The facility’s last fire drill was conducted on June 21, 2025 with documentation showing those in attendance and the type of drill conducted.

LPA inspected the facility food supply and observed the facility retained a minimum of two days perishable and seven days non-perishable food on hand . There was plenty of food in the three refrigerators in the home. Sharps and knives are locked in a drawer and chemicals and cleaning supplies are secured in a locked pantry separate from food. Appliances were in working order. Water and extra emergency supplies were located in the garage.

LPA toured the exterior and there were no hazards or obstacles in pathways. The exterior gate was self-latching and there is a basketball court outside and a shaded area for client activities. LPA observed client bedrooms were clean, had fresh linens and all the required furniture. LPA observed one client seated
