The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Claudia Gutierrez made an unannounced visit for the purpose of conducting a Required/Annual Inspection. LPA arrived at the facility and rang the doorbell but received no response. At 2:33 p.m., LPA contacted Administrator (AD) Gabriela Garcia by phone and the purpose of the inspection was discussed. AD arrived at approximately 2:40 p.m. and granted LPA entry into the facility.

During the inspection, LPA and AD conducted a tour of the facility and observed the following:

This is a one-story house with four resident bedrooms, one staff bedroom, two bathrooms, and unattached two car garage. There is a backyard with a shaded seating area. All designated resident bedrooms had the required furnishings, and LPA observed all beds had linens and blankets. Faucets and toilets were operational. Water temperature tested at 139.1 degrees Fahrenheit; a Technical Violation was issued on today’s date. Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors tested operational and facility appliances were observed to be operable.

The facility currently has no residents in care. Per AD, they wish to maintain the license at this time. AD stated they will notify Community Care Licensing if, and when, a resident is admitted to the facility.

Based on the observations made during today’s inspection, no deficiencies are being cited per Title 22 Division 6 of the California Code of Regulations. An exit interview was conducted, and a copy of this report was left at the facility.
