The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Hanna Gough made an unannounced visit for the purpose of conducting a Plan of Correction inspection for a deficiency issued on May 30, 2025 during the required annual inspection. LPA was greeted and granted entry by staff. LPA met with Administrator (AD) Roy Santa Ana and explained the purpose of the visit.

LPA observed a staff in service medication training conducted on May 31, 2025 covering PRN physician orders needing to be obtained as well as over the counter medications before administering to residents in care. LPA observed PRN medication prescriptions obtained by the Administrator for 3 of 3 residents.

Based on today’s observation and record review the Plan of Correction has been fulfilled, thus clearing the Type A deficiency for CCR 87465(e).

An interview was conducted with Administrator Roy Santa Ana and a copy of this report was left at the facility at the time of the inspection.
