Facility Evaluation Report
Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tuesday Cabiness conducted an annual inspection and met with Administrator Emalyn Anguiano and informed her the reason of the visit. A tour of the inside and outside was conducted.
Kitchen: The kitchen appliances consisted of a stove/oven, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave oven. All appliances were observed to be functional. LPA observed enough food supplies of staple non-perishable for minimum 1 week and perishable for 2 days at the facility. All knives and sharps observed to be locked in a kitchen drawer. There is an extra refrigerator stocked with food. Frozen foods are wrapped and stored appropriately. Food storage and preparation areas are clean and inaccessible to pests. Knives and sharps are observed to be locked and inaccessible to residents. Common Areas : The living room and dining area is a large space, with the office space in the corner of the living room. The office area included the telephone and internet for resident use. The living room was furnished with sofas, chairs and a table and the dining room has a round table and chairs, appropriate for number of residents. The living room has a television set and a fireplace, secured with a screen. The facility maintains a comfortable temperature at 74°F. The smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are hardwired, interconnected and observed to be operational. Fire extinguisher is located kitchen and observed to be fully charged. The bathroom was checked for cleanliness and proper operation. LPA observed the appropriate grab bars in the toilet and shower. The hot water temperature was measured at 113°F. There was enough clean linen available in stock at the cabinet.
