The inspector’s account

In regard to the allegation “Staff are contaminating resident's medication”, it is alleged that staff are putting powder substance in a client’s medication. During interviews with Administrator, and staff four (4) out of four (4) stated that this never happened. Administrator stated that no client’s medication is being tapered with and that she has even installed a camera in medication room to reassure the clients no tampering is being done. During interviews with clients nine (9) out of the ten (10) stated that their medication has never been contaminated or tampered with. C4 stated this facility and staff are good.

Based on interviews conducted and records reviewed, there is insufficient evidence to support the allegations. Although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are UNSUBSTANTIATED.

An exit interview was conducted, and a copy of this report was proved.
