The inspector’s account

The investigation revealed the following. Regarding Allegation(s): Staff are not providing a good quality of food to residents in care - It is alleged staff are not providing good quality of food to residents in care. On 3/28/24, LPA Ramirez conducted physical plant tour, including kitchen area. LPA Ramirez examined perishables food in refrigerator and freezer. LPA Ramirez observed all appliances to be clean and in working condition. LPA Ramirez observed kitchen staff wearing hair nets and gloves while handling food. LPA Ramirez observe signage in the kitchen area reminding staff to discard any leftovers left in the refrigerator beyond 24 hours. LPA Ramirez observed weekly facility menu posted in dining room area. Facility menu was observed to be approved by Registered Dietitian, Linda Morita. Three (3) out of the three (3) staff interviewed denied this allegation. Nine (9) out of the ten (10) clients interviewed deny this allegation. Although the allegation may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are UNSUBSTANTIATED.

Based on LPA’s interviews, observations and records reviewed during this investigation, no deficiencies are being cited today. Exit interview conducted and a copy of this report was provided.
