The inspector’s account

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Tihesha Smith a conducted an unannounced Required 1-year inspection at this facility, met with the director and disclosed staff the purpose of the visit. LPA conducted a tour of the physical plant at approximately 09:50 am to ensure there are no health and safety hazards, and the facility is in compliance with Title 22 Regulations.

The facility is a large open space divided into several spaces to include: nature/library seating, arts and crafts, atrium, sensory, leisure and café. The facility has a kitchen, storage room, music room, auxiliary room, and administrator office. Facility common spaces, kitchen, café, work areas, and furniture observed to be clean and in good repair.The storage rooms PPEs, supplies including masks, hand sanitizers, hand soap,and paper towels. Cleaning supplies/toxins observed to be locked in storage closet and inaccessible to clients.

There are (2) two bathrooms in the facility. Bathrooms have the following items available: hand soap, paper towels, and trash cans. Hot water measured to ensure it is within the required range for client’s comfort and safety. The water temperature range was between 113.6 and 120 -degrees Fahrenheit.

There are two (2) stocked first aid kits in the facility. There are also three (3) fire extinguishers attached to the facility walls and four (4) extra fire extinguishers in the storage room.
