COMPLAINT CONTROL NUMBER: 21-AS-20220525151512
Neglegt/lack of supervision resulting in resident death
At approximately 1:00PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Chris Arnhold arrived at this facility unannounced, to deliver findings from an investigation into the above allegation. LPA met with Executive Director Larona Farnum. Based on an investigation completed by the department, R1 was not on any special observations or status checks, did not require one on one care and had access to the facility pendant system. R1 had a virtual physician visit the day prior and there were no issues noted. Based on interviews conducted, there were no prior concerns with the buildings heating system. Staff immediately notified emergency personnel upon discovering R1 being unresponsive. Facility followed regulation and their program design.
Although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are Unsubstantiated. No citations issued.
